Who we are
Our team calls upon a rich history of experience as learning & development specialists, creative designers, behavioural psychologists and HR consultants.
With over 20 years' experience, we are experts in making people happy at work.
The makers behind our madness
David has a great eye for detail, keeping the wheels of Acceler8 turning behind the scenes. His background is in retail and aviation, which gives him great insight into customer experience. Perhaps more importantly, he is the guardian of the office gin bar and makes sure we all find time to have fun.
Elsewhere, David is never without his shadow Bo, who is at the heart of the Acceler8 team (usually asleep) and rarely without a pot of tea.
Business Development Manager
Anaya is passionate about communication, and how the creative delivery of key messages can transform the people culture of any organisation. She has an extensive background in consultancy, learning and development and client liaison. Anaya is also interested in all things holistic, particularly nutrition (Marcus put the biscuits away!), which she regularly recommends to team members. In her spare time Anaya loves to sail with her partner in their classic yacht Silver Cloud.
Marcus is a creative at heart and likes to help people find ways to connect with their own creativity in whatever form it takes. Having worked in coaching, training and design for a number of years, he is well versed in bringing learning to life in memorable and innovative ways, making it last far beyond the initial experience. Outside of the office, you'll most often find him with his head in a book or adding to his collection of houseplants - or 'indoor jungle' as he calls it.
Chris is passionate about people and their capabilities. He believes that human connection can make any workplace more effective. His extensive background in the learning and development industry has seen him work with some of the world's most recognisable brands. In his spare time, Chris enjoys binge watching Netflix (mostly Schitt's Creek on repeat) and exploring everything Brighton has to offer.
Chairman (Basket based)
Bo is the warm heart of the office. A fan of belly rubs, long walks and biscuits, you'll either find him tucked up under his desk, following his favourite human around or demanding scratches from one of the team. Rescued from the streets of Portugal when he was a puppy, Bo now has a wonderful life in the UK with Chris and David.
Our 'people perks'
We don't believe in "the daily slog" or "living for the weekend" - after all, the average person spends more time at work than anywhere else.
We're already lucky enough to love what we do but, to make life a little easier, we've added a few little things to our day-to-day to keep the spirits high and smiles beaming.
We have a strong belief in giving time for family members - aside from standard mat/pat leave, we offer up to two weeks "pawternity" to help settle a furry new addition in and create that family bond.
LAST WEEK'S LUNCH
On the final week of each month, we all get together to have a meal & a chance to catch-up amid the busy-ness of our month. All paid for by Acceler8!
Every Monday we have fresh fruit delivered to the office - a small perk but one that can make a world of difference to the way we feel.
Sometimes we need a day to re-balance our core. When we're finding life difficult and just need one day to focus on us, Acceler8 understand. We offer a series of "Rejuven8" days that are for these moments - completely separate from other forms of leave we offer.
Put simply, we love a good gin. So we've put together a little bar on our bookcase in the office. Ice, Fever Tree, fruit to add a little flavour - the works. You'll never need to count the minutes down to 5pm again.
We recognise that great work doesn't always happen sat in the office. Sometimes working in a coffeeshop or curled up at home waiting for the plumber is when our highest quality work is produced.
Holidays are revitalising - even the ones where we stay home and just relax! With this in mind, we don't include the Christmas break in your holiday allowance (treating the whole festive break as a big bank holiday) and we've added a few extra days to your overall allowance as a "thanks for being part of the family".
AND THE REST
Alongside the perks we've added in, we do all the usual stuff expected and in line with government working standards. If you're not sure about what some of this is, we're always happy to have a chat about it.
